We evaluate products utilizing the highest ethical standards….even when evaluating the products of our advertising partners. This evaluation standard is unheard of in today’s advertising driven market but it ensures that our dedicated readers get an accurate and unbiased perspective on products that will have a positive impact on their personal hunting experiences. Additionally, it serves to validate the product's usefulness to the deer hunting consumer, something that paid endorsements often fail to accomplish.

In the typical scenario, the manufacturer submits a product to us for independent evaluation. In other instances we purchase products that we find unique or interesting. Most products, after they are tested and evaluated in the field, are then, if applicable, donated at the discretion of the publisher, to various hunting related non-profit organizations.

We evaluate each product on the following characteristics:

• Design
• Engineering
• Quality
• Performance
• Usefulness
• User friendliness
• Personal Experience
