Dan is a native of a small river town in Northeast Iowa surrounded by steep bluffs, rolling hills, vast timbers and winding streams consisting of prime territory for the hunter and fisherman.

Hunting is a deep rooted tradition in Dan's family. Dan is an avid outdoorsman and finds great enjoyment in hunting all kinds of game, but particularly the whitetail deer. Dan awaits the day when his young children will be old enough to venture into the whitetail woods with him.

Dan has a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University in Exercise and Sport Science, but it was his interest in the outdoors that led him to Fanatic Enterprises, Inc. where he has been employed since the business began. Now, as Managing Editor, Dan is an expert at aligning editorial content with the needs of advertisers to the delight of our readers.
